Digital Camera Software for an non-root user

I have a problem with an program I found that works for my Digital Camera. In order for it to work I have to drop to the console, rmmod 2 modules, then run the program. To rmmod modules you have to be root. I want non-root users to be able to use this program. Anyone got any good suggestions on how to get around dropping to super-user console everytime I want to use d/l pics for my camera?

Thanks,

Log in as root, and add the rmmod lines to the end of the file /etc/rc.local. This will make sure that these modules are unloaded automatically every time the system is restarted.

No, that won't do. Those modules are actually needed for other devices to work. They just intefer with this one program, but it's the only program I can get to work with this camera, so I need to unload them, run the program, then reload them.
