Digikam export to picasa web albums?

Hi,

Does anyone know where to actually get this plugin? It's mentioned on the digikam website, but I can't find a download. Is it vapourware?

Any directions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The digikam picasa plugin is in svn already

Hi,

The plugin has been integrated into the subversion trunk
of the sources so at the next release (0.9.3) it should
be available to you. As this summer I couldn't wait to
use it I've been compiling my own 0.9.3 from the sources
(from svn) and I can tell you that it's working very well:
it allows you to select one or more pictures and post them
to picasa via a File/Export menu. You can choose the album
in which you want to put the pictures.

If you want to compile digikam though, I have to warn you
that it has been quite long for me (on Ubuntu feisty)
as there are numerous tools and libraries to compile
before you can compile and install digikam itself.
And 0.9.3 might well be released very soon now (from the
digikam blog: << The next stable release 0.9.3 of digiKam
is planed to september. >>.

Hope it'll help.
Cheers,
Christophe.

Thanks, that explains a lot. I'll wait a bit and hope for 0.9.3 - I really want to be able to use picasa, fireuploader is a good tool but doesn't allow me to resize the images which is a pain.

Funny that they're called plugins and then compiled into the app? :-)
