desktop app: two time zones at once?

Anyone know of a desktop application for showing "world time"? ..Meaning, another time in addition to the local time?

I know: I could just reset my computer's clock, (actually I do that) but I want better. Plus, sometimes I want more than two time zones. Showing the day would be nice too.

"New York" "London" "Tokyo"... think of the stereotypical white, round clocks on the wall. Might seem dumb, but it truely is super handy for international business.

I've searched for a gnome desktop application (Fedora Core 5, GNOME 2.14), but I couldn't find anything. I can add another clock on my menu bar, but only showing my current time--no help.

I don't know the best place to search for desktop mods.

If it doesn't exist... Seems like this app would be easy to write, and popular! Any takers? If I knew anything about C++ or desktop environments I'd try writting it myself.

Thanks

Take a look at this multi-timezone clock.

Thanks for showing me intclock, it works well. I'll request for it to be included in Fedora, and maybe I'll try to configure my GNOME session for it to start when I log in.

Some notes, in case other Fedora Core 5 noobs want to install it
  • go to the intclock website, and download the source. At the time of writing this the current version is 2.07, and the README file has installation instructions
  • I needed the gtk2 perl module. % yum install perl-Gtk2 and dependancies (perl-Glib)
  • Follow instructions in README

NOTE: on the first "make" it complained "can't find Gtk.pm" But since I installed perl-Gtk2 it isn't needed. Running % make again showed now errors.
