BrainScanning LQ Newbie Registered: Sep 2004 Distribution: Redhat Posts: 20 Rep:	Dedicating CPUs Is there any way to dedicated a single CPU to a process. I am using a DELL precision server with 4 CPUs. I would like to assign one CPU for doing tape backups and I would like to leave the other 3 free to handle whatever other processes are started by users. ANy advice how I can do this on Redhat linux release 7.2? I would also like to bring that 4th CPU back online whenever backups are not being performed, so that users can have full CPU resources. THank you in advance for your help.
