Unhappy Debugging with gdb, core.xxxx files, howto?


I'm getting core dumps, and with this command "gdb -c core.4023" I am able to get some info on the file, But what do I do next. I'd like to try and fix this or these problems.

Please help me debug gurus.

Download the source code and fix the problems

Of of curiousity, what binaries are dumping core?

seg faults 11....

It looks like kicker, dumping in /root

and s2u dumping in /
