debian squeeze fstab entries ignored

I've looked around and nothing is popping up about the subject.

Got a debian box, it was using smb4k to mount things, i disabled that, but it is ignoring my entries in fstab. What service or config change do i need to make to get fstab to be read at boot,.. ?

Just need the samba utilities.
Can you manually mount the share?
Did you check for syntax errors?

Thanks for the input, friend. It turns out there was another utility running that was causing issues. Something for kde called 'smb4k' that was enabled on this special debian distro. It causes unmounts and remounts - and headaches. I disabled it (renamed the bin to smb4k.SHIT) and my problems ended up solving themselves!

Thanks again though!
