CUPS problem...

HEy-
checking out my friend's computer. he is running Suse 9.1 Pro, and has a HP PSC1210 printer attached, same model as mine. It has worked fine for 6 months +, but now will not print. Seems that the CUPS server cant run anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled cups several times and get the same error everytime.

Code:
linux:/home/mgarner # /etc/rc.d/cups start
Starting cupsd done
linux:/home/mgarner # cupsd: Child exited with status 98!
any ideas?

thanks,
-myk
