Thumbs up Creating binary RPMS statically!

Hi,

I am using rpmbuild to create create matchbox.rpm binary files.

But for this binary creation it takes some librarys to compile.

So when I install this matchbox.rpm into other machine it says to such library.

So how can i build this matchbox.rpm statically.

Note: In ./configure of this source file there is no option called to buid statically but I have a option to build standalone . Is this same.

Waiting for replay Sunny.

You have to compile the application statically, this is nothing to do with RPM but is in the configure script as you say. Standalone would seem to be the same thing - why don't you build it and test it by removing one of the libraries it needs and see if it still runs?

Yes u r right!

What I did is installed the library statically and then installed the the application using this library.

This solved my problem.
