Exclamation corrupter rpm


Hi... my rpm seems to be corrupted
I have suse 9.2
and the rpm -qa returns segmentation fault message. What do u suggest me to do?

ok reinstall the rpm package.
use the rescue mode

Do u mean to launch the rescue environment of the suse dvd? Or something else?

Yes go to the recue mode and look down there if it reports bug

I don't think that reinstalling the packet manager will fix the problem, since this is a rpm database problem and not a manager problem. If I were you, the first thing I would do is rebuild the rpm database:
rpm --rebuilddb
