console (CLI) CD Player no audio with scsi CD/DVD device

I've trying to use some cli CD AUDIO players like cdcd or dcd (http://dcdplayer.sourceforge.net/) but I'm getting no audio output. If I use some other (GUI) players like Audacious there is no problem at all.

With these cli players CD starts, goes through tracks but there's no audio output. I used cdcd with some old devices which used to have an analog audio between CD player and Motherboard/audio card.

These problem could be related to my device being scsi with no 'analog' output?

Thanks!

Unless the software is capable of digital audio extraction which I would assume is no then you will need an audio cable.

Thank you Michael.
I'm affraid of that, these software may not be capable of extracting digital audio. I'll see if I can check it with developpers or find another cli player capable of extract digital audio.

regards,
Matías

cdcd official forum confirmed me that cdcd is not capable of extracting digital audio output.

I tried mplayer and found that is possible to jump over the tracks using '!' and '@', that's usefull. I'll see if I can integrate with lirc, cos' I'm triying to use a remote control.

Thanks for the help and advices. Regards,
Matías
