Question Console: can't copy/paste

hello,
i just installed Fedora 22 on HP Pavilion laptop( yeah, again) and after installing gpm , i can't for life of me ,figure out how to copy/paste in the console...

Mouse is there, i can select... but can't paste. The touchpad doesn't seem to have a "middle" button and ctl+v doesn't work ( the keyboard doesn't' have "insert" to my surprise)

Some touchpads do a middle-click when you tap them with two fingers.

Or, sometimes, press left and right at the same time to effect a middle click.

My touchpad does do a middle click if the left and right are pressed together, but I found it so fiddly that I added ' -2' (to force two buttons) to the gpm startup options, so that the right button acts as the middle button.
