There are many ways to 'incorporate' Windows into a Linux machine.

I for one even managed to port my old macintoh, full system, inside my Debian machine; I consider doing this with an existing windows partition would be far easier.

And you'd run Linux, with your full, normal FL within one windows, not needing reboot or Wine or anything else.

My general thoughts on this matter amount to the following:

(1) If you want to run Linux on a computer where "some other operating system rules the roost," and especially when that system runs some 'killer app' that pays the bills, don't disturb it. "Virtual machines are your bestest friend," and today they are very easy to do at zero cost! Yes, today you can experiment with Linux – "in a window" – without jeopardizing anything about your present bills-paying environment. (The virtual machine's "disk drives" will simply be handled by host-system "disk files," and, thanks to modern microprocessor hardware support for virtualization, the "guests" will run at almost-native speeds.)

(2) In any resale-store or Goodwill® store in your area, or any "computer repair" shop, you are extremely likely to come across a "slightly older but still perfectly serviceable" computer that you can buy for a song. (Or, what about that "leftover" computer from your past?) Linux is extremely adaptable, and quite-frankly far(!) more efficient than Windows®.
