Conky: Time and Date

Crunchbang++ with Openbox wm

I entered this script in my ~/.conkyrc file under the Text heading:

Code:
T I M E  D A T E
${hr}
Time:$alignr{time %I:%M}
Date:$alignr{time %A %d %Y}
That script displays in my Conky but not the actual, real time and date. All other info in the Conky is active and functioning.

What have I missed?

You missed the $ before your opening curly brackets.

@killerhippy: That fixed it, thank you. Dumb oversight on my part
