Hi, I've done something slightly incorrect, or terribly wrong. I'm not sure which. I am trying to update my system to gtk+ 2.4.0 and one of the dependencies is atk (of some certain level). So, I downloaded the latest version of atk and did the ./configure maneuver and I get the following error:
*** 'pkg-config --modversion glib-2.0' returned 2.3.6, but GLIB (2.0.6)
*** was found! If pkg-config was correct, then it is best
*** to remove the old version of GLib. You may also be able to fix the error
*** by modifying your LD_LIBRARY_PATH enviroment variable, or by editing
*** /etc/ld.so.conf. Make sure you have run ldconfig if that is
*** required on your system.
*** If pkg-config was wrong, set the environment variable PKG_CONFIG_PATH
*** to point to the correct configuration files
Now, I have (obviously) installed glib 2.3.6, but for some reason 2.0.6 is still there, also.
How do I uninstall the old version?
I know this is probably a newbie question, but that's where I am and I'm frustrated. Not frustrated enough to go back to a M$ OS, but frustrated none-the-less.
