Compile 64 bit binary from 32 bit machine

Hello

I have a package that I want to compile, as normal the process is always the following :

1 - ./configure
2 - make
3 - make install

I have Ubuntu 32 bit on my laptop Pentium 4 and I want to compile this software so it build binaries for 64 bits machine running on freebsd. Unfortunately I couldn't compile on this freebsd machine because I don't have enough permissions.

Could some one tell me witch options to include in the ./configure command so I can build 64 bits binaries that I may use them on freebsd machine ?

Thank you so mush

What you want to do is called "cross compile"
Do your searches and you will find:
