commandline mplayer to update konsole tab name

I'm trying to get the title/album information from an ogg stream (specifically http://ic.streamingsoundtracks.com:80/sst32k.ogg) to automatically update my konsole tab name when the song changes.

The information is obviously there, I'm just not finding any way to access it in a meaningful way.

So where are you stuck, exactly? Are you having trouble getting the tag info, or changing the tab name, or both, or what? What have you attempted so far?

I know you can change the tab session name on konsole, but I'm not sure if it's possible to do it dynamically. Perhaps with a dcop call? And it may be tricky to detect song changes in the running stream.

You may want to look into trying a different command line player. I called up the stream in moc, for example, and it displays the current track in the window title (not the tab name).

Yeah, changing the tab name is just a dcop call.

I'm stuck pulling the information from the stream. I've tried using Python as a wrapper, though the call doesn't ever return anything because it's still streaming. I searched through DCOP to see if there was any way I could connect to mplayer that way. No dice.

And then I simply ran out of ideas. I honestly have no idea how to accomplish this short of hacking something into the source code.

And I'm sorry, I lied a little. I'm using Yakuake for my konsole, so I don't get a window title.
