when in doubt if a appropiate driver is installed I check out /lib/modules/3.2.0-0.bpo.2-amd64/kernel/drivers/. Most of the times doing a find on the dir.
*edit*
You have to replace the kernel version after /lib/modules with your own. Do a uname -a to see which version is running right now. And ls /lib/modules to see which kernels are installed.

Hello,

You can have a look at the contents of /proc/modules to find out what modules are loaded on your system without using lsmod.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,

depends on what you mean by drivers. You mention lsmod and modprobe, so perhaps you are actually asking about kernel modules.
Code:
find /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/ -name '*.ko'
does this on my machine.

If you are also interested things that are directly compiled into the kernel, depending on your distro, you may find a copy of the config file in /boot/ (/boot/config-$(uname -r) on Debian boxen).

Finally the config file for the running kernel may be somewhere in the virtual file system /sys, but I really don't remember right now.

HTH,

Evo2.
