Using SuSE 9.2 Pro, KDE 3.3.2 release "a" I have noticed that my most used applications list at the top of the KMenu has frozen. The same apps are there all the time. How do I clear it? I am assuming if it is cleaned out, it will work again.
I've googled, and searched the kde pages to no avail.
Here's a workaround which works okay for me in KDE 3.2:-
Open the KDE Control Center, go to Desktop > Panels > Menus. In the QuickStart Menu Items at the bottom, change the maximum number of entries to zero, then click Apply. Open the KMenu and the top should be clear. You can then go back in and reset it to whatever you like.
Ah. Just realised that may not work as well as I expected. If you reset the number of QuickStart entries, you might find the old ones come back like the proverbial bad penny.
However, after a bit of digging about I've found the right config file. If you open your Home directory, click View > Show Hidden Files and then go to .kde/share/config/kickerrc, you'll see the relevant entries if you scroll down to the bottom. Mine look like this:
