Hi,
I backed up a server. I restored the backup on an other machine (which is not exactly the same). When i boot, i've a kernel panic : "exec of init(/bin/sh) failed!!!"
I boot with sysresccd. All seems OK.
I mount my partitions under /mnt/temp1. All seems OK.
But the chroot fails :
Code:
root@sysresccd / # mount | grep temp1
/dev/sda1 on /mnt/temp1 type ext3 (rw)
/proc on /mnt/temp1/proc type none (rw,bind)
/dev on /mnt/temp1/dev type none (rw,bind)
/sys on /mnt/temp1/sys type none (rw,bind)
root@sysresccd / # ls /mnt/temp1/bin | grep -o bash
bash
root@sysresccd / # chroot /mnt/temp1 /bin/bash
chroot: cannot run command `/bin/bash': No such file or directory
root@sysresccd / #
I think that the problem with chroot or the kernel panic has the same source. But i don't have any idea
