Question Chromium Browser 181 MB to download?

From here you can see that:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source...buntu0.11.04.1

The chromium browser requires 181MB, so big?

That's pretty much for a browser. I downloaded google-chrome-unstable_current_i386.deb, containing 28637128 bytes.

The installed 'Google chrome browser' :

tar -cf google.chrome.tar /opt/google/chrome/

Installed files "google.chrome.tar" = 86.5 MB, but more space (181 MB)
is required at install time : The installer + the installed files.
The "installer package" can be deleted.

..

This is source code. You don't need this to run browser. Just download executables.

Because Chrome is not FLOSS. It is covered by Google's license.
You can get Chrome from Google's site.
