choosing an open source library catalog software package
I am interested in deploying an open source library catalog software platform in our elementary school. We are currently using a Follett product, which requires an agent be installed on each workstation. I want something that can be accessed via a web browser. I hired a specialist to get Openbiblio going at my children's school a couple years ago, and it seems to work well. It isn't however, the easiest to install.
I have been using linux for the desktop for years, have deployed k12ltsp a few times, and am trying to learn about LAMP servers. It would be nice to find a distribution where a library catalog program was pre-installed, or in a repository where a software installer could install and do most of the configuring.
So my questions are, does such a distribution exist, and which library catalog program should I look toward? Thanks for any help.
