I'm having trouble configuring Nagios servers that are hostile to these servers in the datacenter and public IP addresses are configured, that is different from my local network.
How do I setup the Nagios Server to access the remote server with public address?

check_nrpe -H remotehost - error Connection refused by host

I would *REALLY* suggest NOT using NRPE. It's just rubbish. It does nothing except reduce your server security and require more firewall holes to be punched it. I would suggest using "check_by_ssh" to use an existing and MUCH better / secure service.
