Change time and date withowt root privileges


Hi

I am searching the net forums but no luck jet. I need to change the date and time on my computer withowt root privileges of using sudo command. So is there any way to grant my user the right permissions to change the clock?

Thanx in advice.

um ok .. but now I have a problem with libgc it seams that I have an older version, but when I tried to upgrade the system didnt let me. Do you have any other sugestions maybe. Thenx

Why can't this be done as root? Otherwise, you'd need to use sudo, or add the setuid permission on the 'date' executable (which opens a whole range of security concerns).

I made a small script there:

(but needs root as boot)

sudo apt-get install datefudge
work fine
