certain programs dont run
i've attempted to run the audio player (xmms) and nothing happens. it just acts like i never did anything. i've noticed this with some other programs too.
when i try running it in the terminal, it says:
Segmentation Fault
You've Probably found a bug in XMMS... etc

Try running these programs from a shell. Type:
xmms
and see if it works and if it doesn't post the error messages that you get.

you mean from the terminal? i did that, and got this:

if you dont mean from the terminal, explain what you mean.

Yes I meant a terminal. Do all your applications give you Segmentation Faults?

it only appears to be xmms right now. there were a few others, but i cant find them again. originally oowriter wouldn't do anything when i clicked the icon in the panel bar, but then i ran it from the terminal, it opened, and now when i click in the panel bar it works fine.

Try re-installing xmms then.

i did, still didnt work.
i downloaded the latest version of xmms and did rpm -e xmms then installed the latest version, still getting the same error.
