I want to install cdbakeoven which needs cdda2wav. When I attempt to install cdda2wav-1.10-4.i386.rpm, I get this error message:
error: failed dependencies:
cdrecord-cdda2wav >= 1.9 is needed by eroaster-2.1.0-5mdk
cdrecord-cdda2wav is needed by gcombust-0.1.52-1mdk
cdrecord-cdda2wav >= 1.11-0.a19 is needed by xcdroast-0.98-23mdk
I would have thought that "cdda2wav" was different from "cdrecord-cdda2wav". How do I overcome this conflict?
they are essentially the same package, but have a different name, you *should* be safe to use --nodeps to install the package, as long as there are no other dependencies...
btw. eroaster is much much better.

Thank you for the instant reply. I have installed the cdda2wav rpm and will evaluate the effect. I have used eroaster, but wud like to also try cdbakeoven - but cdbakeoven does not see my IDE-scsi burner - yet another hurdle(!).
