CD Does Not Mount

Hi guys!!

I cant get my cdrom to work on FC2 (kde). It is detected on /dev/hdc, but I get some warnings on eject -v:
eject: using default device `cdrom'
eject: device name is `cdrom'
eject: expanded name is `/dev/cdrom'
eject: `/dev/cdrom' is a link to `/dev/hdc'
eject: `/dev/hdc' is mounted at `/mnt/cdrom'
eject: unmounting `/dev/hdc'
eject: `/dev/hdc' is a multipartition device
eject: trying to eject `/dev/hdc' using CD-ROM eject command
eject: CD-ROM eject command succeeded

Now cdrom ejects fine, but when I put it back in it doesnt mount automatically. It is setup correctly in fstab ... what else does it need???

Thank you!
Cheers!

does it automount when you insert the disk for the first time? If so did you set up automounting? Also, its a little wierd that the decived it is 'linked to ' is a hd device, usually hd is reserved for hard drives, so I thought.

Hope you find an quick and easy solution

/dev/cdrom is "usually" a symlink to /dev/hdc

I don't know about anyone else here, but I don't want CD disks to automatically
mount when the tray is closed..........

but music CD's are different, you don't usually mount those, just close the tray
and open your "favorite" multimedia program and listen to your music............
