cd # 4 ??? where is it??

I installed mandrake 10.0 official with no problems, most everything works as it should except the cd player will not play(Im not to worried about this .
THe problem is when ever I try to add needed software it asks for a disc #4 and I have never had this disc in fact when I did the installation it asked for a disc 4 and I just hit cancel and the installation went ok or so I thought.
I was wondering is it possible that my download of the installation cd s was cut short and I didnt get the cd #4??

Thanks for any help you might bestow , oh yeah and Im a newb if you didnt already guess

Phillip

Uhm... If you were asked for CD #4 and you've never had this CD #4 you speak of, then yes. Very possible. I'd even go as far as saying extremely possible.

First things first: Welcome to LQ!

CD4 is a disc only available to Mandrake-Linux club members or if you buy the disc set from a Mandrake-Linux retailer. The first 3 discs contain basic/necessary programs to run Linux. The fourth has other special sofware that is more of a bonus.

To get it, you can join the Mandrake club or order a set of installation discs from a retailer. You can find info on both of these methods at their official website.

P.S.: Try to do a search of the website before posting a new thread on this site because a lot of questions like this have been answered before.

Thanks for the reply to my question. I had an idea that disc # 4 was something like that, your right I was remiss in not checking more dilegently.
I joined Mandrake soft and will get the power pack I think. I dont mind paying for software that works, another factor is I hated the feeling I got that the other software vendor was sucking as much from me as possible.
Anyways thanks
