Cannot build KSensors

I cannot seem to debuild the ksensors package. During the dependency check it checks for libXext and says.... no

Configure: error: We need a working libXext to proceed. Since configure can't find it itself, we stop here assuming that make wouldn't find them either.

Only problem is that libxext6, libxext-dev and libxext6-dbg are already installed. I do not know what to do at this point. I have searched and searched with zero results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have the correct version of them. If you have, then you can open up the configure script and find the part that checks for libXext. Run the detection yourself and find out why it cannot find you version.

Well I attempted all of that. The script itself looked okay. I tried to build libxext myself and install. For some reason that worked. Thank you for the help.
