Cannot boot using initramfs
Hi,
I'm using a 2.6.10 kernel and I'm trying to boot using initramfs. I've created a dir called initramfs in my build directory, and placed an initramfs_list describing my ramfs in my home dir. I've also enabled initrd in my kernel config and made CONFIG_INITRAMFS_SOURCE in the kernel config file point at my initramfs_list file.
However, I don't see any evidence of the kernel trying to use initramfs at boot time. I wonder if I'm missing something. Should I put a root= line in the kernel command line?
Is there anything I should be looking into?
I've read almost "everything" I could find about it, but I'm stuck. I hope someone can give me a pointer to fix this.
Thanks,
Sandyman
