Can Timeshift be used to backup a linux non-system partition?

My data is not in the $Home folder. It's on /media/linux-drive aka /dev/sdd1. Is there a way to make a separate backup for this using Timeshift.

I explored the Timeshift backups but the ext4 subfolders of /media are not included.

AFAIK, this is by design. Under settings - users you can only select to include hidden items. Guess that one shoud work, independent from the place of your home dir.
It's a "rollback" for your system files.
For "user data" you can use backintime (or any other convenient program of course).
My user files are also at a different disk and I use backintime in combination with timeshift.
Both have never let me down thus far (I cross my fingers).

ineuw,

Timeshift is not designed to backup your data. It is designed to restore your system in the event of problems.

Have a look at Back In Time:

Much thanks to all. Installed "backintime" and very impressed with it.
