Can't run X as root!

Hi!

I have just reinstalled Ubuntu on my laptop but I ran into a problem I didn't had last time I installed it.

I can't run any X-based programs, like kwrite and ksysguard, as root-user. It tells me that it cannot connect to X server.

It's no problem running these programs as "normal" user.

Hopes someone can help me here.

Try
Code:
sux -
next time you switch to root.

In the KDE world there is a
Code:
kdesu command_here
option - I think (but I am not sure) in GNOME that is
Code:
gksu command_here
so give that a try as well.
