LimeWire installed as root, can't run if not root

I recently installed LimeWIre on my Mandrake 9.1 system. I guess I was logged in as root when I installed it and everything works fine as long as I'm root. When I try to run it when I'm not root it launches the configuration utility and prompts for my share directory. The only problem is that I've already done this as root plus it won't accept any input for the directory when I'm not logged in as root. I'm thinking I need to change permissions somewhere but I really have no idea which ones I need to change. Does anyone have an idea?

chmod 4777 /root/limwiredir
you'll probably get problems with this because /root/ will give protection to limwiredir

You're probably advised to login as root, change the directory to somewhere else like ~/limewire/ and make sure that you have permissions. Then reconfigure it.
