Can't Run Kshowmail

I'm running Ubuntu 6.06 (Gnome) and installed kshowmail from a .deb (created by alien from an .rpm). The installation went smoothly and I got no output about dependency problems.

However, I can't find the program in the menu editor to add it. I can't find a way to run it. Synaptic says it's there and does not show anything broken.

I found it in terminal and tried to access it from there. Here's the output:

aba@aba:~$ whereis kshowmail
kshowmail: /opt/kde3/bin/kshowmail
aba@aba:~$ /opt/kde3/bin/kshowmail
/opt/kde3/bin/kshowmail: error while loading shared libraries: open shared object file: No such file or directory
Can anyone help get it running (or see why it can't)?
