Well, if you already have the software, you can try running it under the current version of WINE. A lot of software that have that didn't work with the older version of WINE started working in the last few months with the recent updates.

Alternatively, perhaps Scribus will do the job for you.

It depends on the distribution; on Fedora it's just:

yum -y install wine

You can then run your setup/install programs as usual.

Recent versions of WINE need little or no configuration. If you do need to configure for an application, the 'winecfg' program will do the job. Usually, this is only a matter of specifying which version of Windows the application expects. All directories (including the installed software) will be in '.wine/' in your home directory.

As I indicated in post #4, just run your installer as usual. Depending on the distribution, you might have to prefix the command with 'wine'. For example:

1. Insert CD into drive
2. Mount the cd (if not automounted by the distribution)
3. Double-click on the 'setup.exe' (or whatever it is called on that disk).

If that doesn't work on your distribution, after the CD is mounted open a terminal window and:

1. Change directory to the CD drive, for example:

cd /media/cdrom

2. Run the installation program with:

wine setup.exe
