Burning DVD movies as user with K3b

Hello all,

I just built a Slack box for a friend of mine and he's going to
want to use K3b to burn DVD movies.

It would be nice if he could do this as a normal user but
mkisofs/growisofs will only run suid once between reboots.
(not sure which is actually doing the work)

Is there a solution for this, or is it just the breaks?

Running K3b as root works fine, but well... you know, it would
be nice not to have to enter a passwd every time.

It should run suid root more than once per boot, what you're experiencing is wierd and probably correctable

I can't seem to find any solutions on google, you might try doing a fresh install and doesble checking the persmissions in terminal

what program do you use to decrypt movies?

libdvdcss is the only thing I know of to do that.

That's not the issue here though.
I need to burn an authored dvd file structure and the app to do
this (growisofs I think) will only run suid root once between reboots.
(with K3b)
