Your WinXP install should play nicely once all the drivers are installed. It is quite a change though. If you've configured your kernels for your various Linux distros without many modules provided, then they might struggle to boot up. Also, bear in mind you're moving from a 32-bit system 64-bit system which might cause a few problems, but I've never tried it. Best bet is to build in support for as many modules as possible on your Linux distros before installing your new hardware then figure out what it's loading up on boot and make them static modules. Be prepared to boot to command line and require X11 re-configuring for most of the distros too, so make sure you know the commands for doing this - it's not that hard.

Well I couldnt wait for a reply and built my new box anyway...I should have waited.

I finally got xp to shut up long enough to get the board and pcie vid driver disks installed.AND call MS to get a new act.#

Anyway I now have 8 distros that get a kernal panic and wont boot.I dont suppose there is an easy fix for this?

Thanks
