This is an old game that uses ancient technology called Shockwave. It's still a favourite with heaps of people so we're keeping it, but sadly this means that some of you can't play it (boo!). Don't worry if this is you though - there are heaps of other awesomesauce games to play!
May be the answer, remain curious IF anyone has similar ancient style games working as to how, or whether just not compatible.
I tried the link using Fedora 16 x86_64 and Opera 11.62, and it all seemed to work OK.
Sounds like a problem with Firefox 11.0...if I have understood your problem correctly.
Not sure this helps much, other than confirm that the link does work.
Thanks, receiving ABC site fine, is just game not starting.
IF able to play game, did it use Shotwell, or something else ?
OK, I had misunderstood your original problem...I thought the problem occurred when you went to the page.
I just tried to play the game (Fedora 16 x86_64/Opera 11.62) and immediately a dialog box opened re saving 'loader.dcr'.
I tried Chrome and it opens a Shotwell window but it appears to be empty...black.
So, it would seem that Firefox isn't the only browser that encounters the problem.
Distribution: Debian Sid AMD64, Raspbian Wheezy, various VMs

Rep:
I think there are two things going on there.
First is that Shockwave isn't available for Linux, so you don't have the plugin to play the games.
Second is that raw image files use the same extension (.dcr) as Shockwave files so the browser thinks using Shotwell is the right thing to do.
As far as I know Shockwave has never been available for Linux.
