boot??


i have a program locatedf at /usr/local/shoutcast that i would like to start during the boot. How could i make this happen?

add the command to /etc/rc.d/rc.local

boot /usr/local/shoutcast?

no just edit the file /etc/rc.d/rc.local and add the line like this


/usr/local/shoutcast

ok i just did that and it wont continue booting
it will just stay there on the shoutcast screen

ok,

this means that you need to background the command

/usr/local/shoutcast &


some scripts just run and terminate, some stay active. If it stays active run it in the background
