Bitmap image editor to paint a region with its surround


What bitmap image editor that can paint a region with its surrounding background (in any kind cli, gui or plugin application)?

there is a gimp plugin called Resynthesizer

https://github.com/bootchk/resynthesizer

i have been using it for years

this DOSE NOT yet run on the testing gimp3.0

but runs on gimp 2.10.12

i build from source and have NOT tried the flatpack
