Arrow : bad interpreter: No such file or directory

I am receiving this error because the file has been modified on Windows and has placed those "invisible" characters "^M" in it.

How would I rid of these irritating symbols without using dos2unix?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

Why is using dos2unix a problem for you?

Cheers,

Kate should have an option for end-of-line encoding. Switch it from "Windows" to "UNIX."
