Hello I´m using suse9.2 with 2.6.8, Using azureus my harddrive is loading like a monster while downloading at 100 KB/s... my harddrive got overheated and started making sounds. I can download via ftp at 1MB/s without the hdd doing much. I´ve tried changing the cache size without any difference.

Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Try changing to ctorrent an cli "torrent" client that is much lighter than azureus ...

I'll drink to that!
The thing is, Azureus is written in Java, and thus must be practically interprated by the JavaVM before execution, so it's a very intensive process. I've used ctorrent and like it very much, and it's very lightweight.
