ayo.freshrpms.net

I did a search but found no direct comment regarding this repository.

If you use synaptic to go to ayo.freshrpms.net (as it is listed for apt repositories) it appears to fail. If you go there via http it also fails. If you http://freshrpms.net and click the apt repositories link it directs you to ayo.freshrpms.net which it then states the page is missing.

Any ideas on what is up with it? Did they reformat and change the url to that location? Did they discontinue it?

Choose one of the mirrors of ayo.freshrpms.net.

Yeah, I had a problem with the main site, so I ended up using dag because I had it preconfigured, but a mirror should work fine.
