i wouldn't use it. it doesn't handle the simple eicar test files.

It should've flagged at least 3 of those files (the text file being a non-executable file).
if it can't handle test files, i sure wouldn't trust it to handle anything else. besides there's better av tools for linux like clamav, f-prot, f-secure, etc., etc.
