Automatic standby (S3) when idle?

I would like my system to automatically enter S3 mode (suspend to RAM) after 15 minutes of idle time. This mode works fine, and I can initiate it by running s2ram on my system. But how can I get it to automatically suspend when the machine is idle? (I'm using fvwm.)
