auto-boot cd
Where can i fid and download a linux distro in iso to burn into a auto-boot cd iīm looking for slake or red hat .
i have download 645 m iso cd but itīs not auto-boot cd and i cant make the install .
OK, I made this mistake too. You have to tell your CD-burning software to make a cd from image(.iso file). SO after you burn the CD, you shouldn't have a .iso file on the CD but a CD full of directories and files. Then you need to tell your BIOS to boot from the CD-ROM, change the boot order until CD-ROM is the first. If your BIOS doesn't support CD-ROM booting then you need to make a bootdisk. To make a bootdisk there is a program on the RedHat CD1 called rawrite in the dosutils directory. Use the boot.img file in the images directory. So use rawrite to write boot.img to a floppy and then you have a nice Linux bootdisk.

It's this autorun.exe or something with a similar name in cd main directory. All *.exe files there are Windows executables, so it's rather easy to find them
