authentication of client computers through redhat enterprise linux

Hi...
i have installed redhat enterprise linux 5 on Hp dl385 machine.
i want all my clients i.e fedora and Xp to be authenticated by enterprise linux ... pl suggest me what could be the better option...
i want to share printers and files for my users..
your advice will be highly appreciated ..

If you want to setup an environment like Active directory then you need separate licenses for RHEL

Actually, you can build an OpenLDAP service: http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...DAP_and_RADIUS . You don't need any more licenses.
