Asterisk & N900 - network signals
Dear All,
I have a Debian server with Asterisk installed on it and would like to use an N900 as a SIP client connected to it.
There is an another Sipura client connected, which works as expected.
So, when I call a number and a problem occurs, I can hear the service provider's message like "the destination number cannot be reached at the moment, please call later".
On the other hand, when I call with the N900, it seems to start ringing at the receiver just after connecting to the Asterisk server, also when the above message is on the service provider's side. So I cannot determine if the phone is really ringing at the other party or just unable to reach that phone, so it just rings in both cases at the caller side.
How could I reach the same behavior like the Sipura client does?
Is there an option in Asterisk server that forces this behavior?
I hope somebody can bring me closer to the solution.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Edit: The Asterisk server connects to another service provider which can call landline or mobile numbers.
Edit2:
I set the Asterisk server to answer the outgoing call, then ring the recipient number.
Now I hear the service providerīs message also on the N900.
I think this workaround has only a few drawbacks, like the call counter counts from the initiation of the call...
If anyone has a better solution though, please share it with me.
