are these compiled

I am trying to get my sound working. I was looking in /usr/src/linux-2.4.22/drivers/sound, at these source files. Are these already compiled somewhere else.

If my sound is not working could it be I need one of thes modules loaded?

" Are these already compiled somewhere else. "

To find out whether you have any sound module binaries try this command:

find /lib/modules -iname "*sound*"

"If my sound is not working could it be I need one of these modules loaded?"

Yes, maybe.
