aptitude shows lots of unresolved dependencies and lots of packages to remove

hello
aptitude has been showing this outputs for anything i try to do with it,
updating or installing something, even using full-upgrade

i don't know why this happens, it started a few days ago, not sure what
caused it, the full output follows, please tell me what to do to resolve
this, i think some library is spoiling it all but i can't really tell
which one!

I assume that you run Debian 6/Squeeze, but have your system configured to use the stable repos. they switched some time ago to Debian 7/Wheezy, so your system tries to update to the new version. Please post the content of the file /etc/apt/sources.list

i removed the 'stable' line and got much better! now it goes straightforward
what is better to use instead of that stable repo??

Nice. Keep in mind that debian supports the old-stable versions (that is what Debian 6/Squeeze now is called) only for one year after a new Stable was released, so you may consider to think about an upgrade to Debian 7.

To build on what TobiSGD said, I did an on-line upgrade from Squeeze to Wheezy and it was flawless, as was my previous on-line upgrade from Lenny to Squeeze.
