App to store HOWTO's, tips and tricks?

Is there an app out there that is perfect to store all your HOWTO's, tips and tricks?
I currently store them in OpenOffice files, but it would be nice if there is something out there where you can store them in (like there is software for your CD, DVD or comic collection), browse them or run a search.
I know I can install apache, mysql and use wiki software, but I am looking for a single piece of software as a solution to my problem.

Hope someone knows if there is anything like that out there.

I think adobe wuld do fine have you tried all the features or you can try this site

I was more thinking along the lines of something like Code Vault, but linux-based and designed for HOWTO's and such (or usable for something like that).

I think HTML is a great place to store and search personal HOWTO's and TIPS. You can have an index page/contents. then either have individual pages for each tip or use Anchors and Targets to organize them.

I personally use the scrapbook firefox extension for this purpose:

With it you can save web pages to hard disk, organize saved content in hierarchical folders, edit web pages to remove things like ads or add your own notes/comments, and even run a search of the saved content. Of course, this is only useful for stuff on the web (perfect for storing HOWTOs, linux tips and tricks and so on), or local plain text files.
